Item ID: 1619 - Chelsea 6 1/2" Special Dial Tambour No. 3. The 21" wide and 10" tall brass case has been polished and lacquered. The 6 1/2", silvered, special dial with raised bronze numerals and serpentine hands is in very fine original condition. The dial is marked T & E Dickinson, Buffalo below 12 and Chelsea between the winding arbors. The 8 day, house strike movement has serial number 103276 dating the clock to 1916. Winterhalder & Hoffmeier Quarter Striking Bracket Clock - Unusual 3 Gong Strike
Item ID: 1376. Winterhalder & Hofmeier 3 Gong Quarter Striking Bracket Clock, ca. 1910. This very unusual quarter striking clock plays of 3 notes at 15 minutes after the hour. The same 3 notes are played twice at the half hour and 3 times at 3/4 hour. On the hour the clock only strikes the hour. Very unusual and melodious. The mahogany case is 16" tall. Item ID: 1593 - This is a rare and desirable, Chelsea 6" Special Dial Library Clock. The Library Cock was made from about 1906 to 1911. The clock sits on a symmetrical base with fine beaded decoration all around. The case and base are polished front and back. The silvered dial with raised numerals is signed Ball Watch Co., Cleveland. Atmos clocks are Swiss made, precision, 15 jewel, perpetual motion timepieces that are powered by changes in temperature and barometric pressure. The clock never needs winding and is an excellent timekeeper. The 24k gold plated brass case is in excellent condition. The case is 9 1/4" tall, 8 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" deep. Simon Willard Lighthouse Clock - Alarm Timepiece (Sold)
Item ID: 1497 - Simon Willard Alarm Timepiece Lighthouse Clock by HLF Clocks. This is one of the finest reproduction lighthouse clocks ever made. The clock stands 31" tall. The case is mahogany and mahogany veneer with the appropriate hand rubbed shellac finish and fine quality cast plaques and paw feet. The glass dome is beautifully hand blown. The painted dial, with alarm dial at the center, is signed Simon Willard. The superb, 8 day time and alarm, weight driven, movement was made by David Lindow and is an accurate reproduction of the original Willard movement. David produces some the finest clock movements available today. A very limited number of these clocks have been produced. David Wood Newburyport Mass Shelf Clock Commissioned by Mike Basch (Sold)
Item ID: 1328 - This is a ca. 1970 Michael Basch commissioned reproduction David Wood, Newburyport Massachusetts Shelf Clock. The 34" tall mahogany and mahogany veneer case is of the finest construction. From the dovetail joints on the bottom of the case to the huge dovetails which mount the movement rails to the case to the finely detailed inlays and crossbanding on the doors to the carved fretwork on the top of the case, the clock is truly a work of art. The thick and heavy steel dial is expertly painted and in mint condition. The steel hands are finely cut and blued. The quality of the 8 day time only movement is equal to the quality of the case. The finish is and patina are absolutely superb. The clock is in excellent running condition and ready to simply be enjoyed. In researching the clock I talked with Mike Basch's son who said that his dad commissioned 11 of these David Wood Shelf clocks and 11 Cummins banjo clocks. He does not know who was commissioned to build the clocks but he noted that his dad worked closely with Elmer Stennes on other projects. An original David Wood Shelf Clock recently sold on Ebay for $26,100. This reproduction is certainly a fine alternative at a fraction of the price. Item ID: 1106 - This is a ca. 1838, Birge, Mallory & Company, Bristol, Connecticut Triple Decker Column & Splat Shelf Clock. The beautiful mahogany case is in excellent restored condition. The grain of the mahogany and the patina of the finish are gorgeous. The reverse painted lower door glasses were professionally re-done by an old-time York , Pennsylvania clock tablet (glass)painter. The inside label is original and in excellent condition. The pendulum bob, pulley dust covers; upper door glass; dial and hands are all original and excellent. The original silvered mirror is in the crescent-shaped opening in the dial. It can be raised to allow the owner to see into the movement...for adjustments, if necessary. The strap brass eight-day movement has been professionally cleaned and runs and strikes perfectly. Item ID: 1209 - This is a fine quality, ca. 1900, German Crystal Regulator 400 Day Clock. The highly polished brass case is 11" tall, 7" wide and 5 1/2" deep. The edges of the top and bottom and the front columns are decorated with fine brass turnings. The four thick and heavily beveled glasses are in perfect condition. The 4" porcelain dial is perfect. The bezel is finely engine turned. The polished brass hands are mint. The 400 day movement is marked DRP No 144688, USP No751686 and serial number 13589. The clock is in fine running condition.
