Item ID: 2108 - Chelsea Clock Company 12" Pilot House Clock. Serial number 127393 on the movement and the case dates the clock to 1919. The dial has been resilvered, the case has been polished and lacquered and the movement has been serviced. The clock is mounted on a custom mahogany display stand. Mint in ever way. Chelsea 8 1/2" Wardroom Clock - Ships Bell

Item ID: 2068 - Chelsea 8 1/2" Wardroom Clock - Ships Bell. Very fine Statuary Bronze finish. Serial number 107084 on the movement and the back of the case dates the clock to 1917. Chelsea Wardroom clocks with ships bell movements were a special order and are exceedingly rare. I have not seen another 8 1/2" Wardroom clock with a ships bell movement. Chelsea 8" Special Dial "Windsor" Shelf Clock(SOLD)

Item ID: 2047 - Chelsea 8" Special Dial "Windsor" Clock for Tiffany & Co. This clock is hard to find in this large size. The red brass case is 19" tall, 12 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" deep. The case has been polished and lacquered. The dial has been resilvered. The numerals and hands have their original finish. Chelsea 8 1/2" Marine Clock - USS Wando(SOLD)

Item ID: 2010 – Chelsea 8˝” Marine Clock for the USS Wando. Marine clocks with a ship’s name on the dial are almost impossible to find and therefore are the most desirable of all marine clocks. The USS Wando(AT-17) was a 123ft, 575 ton US Navy tug that was laid down on 6/14/1915, launched on 3/17/1916 and commissioned on 4/3/1917. The Wando was in service from 1917 to 1946. The history of the vessel is well documented and can easily be found on the internet. Serial number 93451 on the movement and case dates the clock to 1915. Chelsea 8 1/2" Mariner Ships Bell Clock for David C. Whitney's Yacht "Sumar"

Item ID: 2035 - Chelsea 8 1/2" Mariner Yacht Wheel Clock for Tiffany & Co. and David C Whitney's yacht "Sumar". This monumental ships bell clock is 25" tall and 20" wide. The dial is engraved Tiffany & Co. The brass base is engraved SUMAR. Serial number 172852 dates the clock to 1926. The clock is in very fine restored condition.

The 160' diesel yacht "Sumar" was commissioned by David C. Whitney in 1926, and named after his wife, Susan Marshall Whitney. She was designed by Henry J. Gielow and built at Todd Shipyard in Brooklyn, NY. In 1927 her captain was B. Madsen and in May she was in transit from Manila to Colombo Sri Lanka via Singapore, By April 1931 the Sumar had logged 85,000 nautical miles of cruising, including a circumnavigation of the planet. She ranged from the east and west coasts of the Americas, the Mediterranean and Black Seas, the British Isles, Scandinavia, and the Caribbean. The first part of her route took her to Port of Spain, Rio, Montevideo, then to Hammerfest Norway. Her captain in 1930 was Barney. In 1931 she sailed from the Tebo yacht basin in Brooklyn to her homeport of Detroit and Lake St. Claire via the St. Lawrence Seaway. Sumar was sold to the British Navy in 1942 and became the H.M.S. Sumar, and was used in the examination service until 1944, and then sold in 1946. Her pennant number was FY1003.

As engraved on the front of the base, the clock was presented "To The Martin Cantine Company on Its Fiftieth Anniversary As A Token of Friendship and Esteem 1888 - 1938" by the thirteen companies engraved on the back of the clock. Chelsea 8 1/2" Pilot House Clock - The Country Club Golf

Item ID: 1894 - Chelsea 8˝” Pilot House Clock. Serial number 108840 dates the clock to 1917. The silvered and engraved dial is marked Bigelow, Kennard & Co., Inc., Boston. The bezel is engraved "The Country Club Golf, 1917, Won By P.W. Whittimore". Whittimore was a member of the prestigious “The Country Club” in Brookline, MA and a very successful and well known golfer. "The Country Club" is the oldest country club in the United States and is so private and exclusive that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen waited for 2 years before being accepted as a members. Item ID: 1884 - Chelsea 8.5” House Strike Plain Dial Base and Ball Feet Clock, red brass case finish. House strike with 8.5 inch painted arabic numeral dial, in mint original, and perhaps unparalleled condition, painted: "The Frank Hershede Co, Cincinnati", silvered, with blued moon hands. Item ID: 1849 - Ca. 1916. Chelsea Clock Company 12" Special Dial Nickel Plate Pilothouse Clock. The case has the original brushed nickel finish. The special dial with raised bronze numerals and pierced serpentine hands is marked "The Cowell & Hubbard Company, Cleveland". The case and movement are marked with serial number 106437. Item ID: 1881 - Chelsea Clock Company 8.5” Special Dial Admiral Ships Bell Clock. Copper bronze case with matching original winding key. Fine original dial is silvered with raised applied copper bronze numbers and copper bronze serpentine hands. Hinged bezel. Serial number 191343 on movement and wood bottom insert dates the clock to 1929. Overall dimensions - 12” tall, 14” wide, and 6” deep. The Chelsea Sales Ledger entry shows that the clock was sold to Toledo Shipbuilding on 7/29/19. A very fine all original example.

Ship's bell strike with 8 1/2 inch excellent “special dial”, original, silvered with raised attached copper bronze numbers and copper bronze serpentine hands. Dial engraved “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A., Ship’s Bell. Hinged bezel. Overall dimensions approximately 13” tall, 13” wide, and 5.5” deep. Movement serial number 166546, wooden sub-base stamped 166549, the last number in the wooden sub-base being an inversion stamping error by the workman.
