Early Chelsea 10" Ships Clock - Ca. 1901(SOLD)

Item ID: 1828 - Chelsea 10" Ships Clock - House strike. This is one of the earliest striking Chelsea clocks that I have seen. Matching serial number 4711 dates the clock to 1901. Chelsea 10" Special Dial Mariner for Tiffany(SOLD)

Item ID: 1717 - Chelsea 10" Special Dial Yacht Wheel aka Mariner. Serial number 172995 dates the clock to 1926. This the only 10" Yacht Wheel clock known to exist. The clock has been restored and is in superb condition. The Best!

Chelsea 12" Special Dial Neptune Clock(SOLD)

Item ID: 1832 - Chelsea 12" Special Dial Neptune. Matching serial number 99180 dates the clock to 1914. The clock was sold to John Brenner Jewelry Co., Youngstown, O. This is one of only two 12" Neptunes known to exist. The clock has been totally restored to perfect condition. Superb in every way!

Chelsea 12" Pilot House Clock(SOLD)

Item ID: 1840 - Chelsea Clock Company 12" Pilot House Clock. Serial number 127393 on the movement and the case dates the clock to 1919. The dial has been resilvered, the case has been polished and lacquered and the movement has been serviced. Mint in ever way. Chelsea 12" Special Dial Carved Base No. 3(SOLD)

Item ID: 1789 - Chelsea 12" Carved Base No. 3 Time Only. Special dial marked Heeren Bros. & Co., Pittsburg. This clock is one of only two known Chelsea 12" Carved Base clocks. The clock has been totally restored and is in the finest condition in every way. Serial number 67920 on the case dates the clock to 2/12/10. The Chelsea Clock Museum's listing of 12" dial Chelsea clocks describes the clock as "12" TO Spec CB carved B H - SPCL". It was sold to Heeren Bros. & Co., Pittsburg. The movement has serial number 92537 which the Chelsea records describe as follows "12" OB Mar H E?P. The movement was originally in a 12" Marine Clock and was sold to Heeren Bros on 2/19/14. I suspect that the movements of these clocks were inadvertently swapped at some point in their history.

ID: 1838 - Chelsea Clock Co. 8 1/2" Tambour No. 3 for Tiffany & Co, New York. This very large tambour has been totally restored and is in the finest condition in every way. The clock strikes house strike with fine resonant tone. The case is 27" long and 13" tall. The clock weighs about 50 pounds. Serial number 138136 dates the clock to 1919. Chelsea 8 1/2" Special Dial Clock & Barometer Desk Set(SOLD)

Item ID: 1804 - Chelsea 8 1/2" Special Dial Clock & Barometer Desk Set. Standing 12" tall and 21 1/2" wide, this clock and barometer has a truly commanding presence. While Chelsea desk sets in this size are seldom seen, an example with the special dial (raised numerals and serepentine hands) is exceedingly rare. Serial number 111227 dates the set to 1917. The dial is engraved Spaulding & Co. Chicago. The dial has been resilvered. The case has been polished and lacquered. Item ID: 1785 - Chelsea Clock Co. 8 1/2" Library Clock for Tiffany & Co. Library clocks are very rare in any size. 8 1/2" examples are almost never seen. Note the symmetrical base with fine brass beading and the unusual bezel and back flange with coin edges. Serial number 68048 on the movement and case bottom dates the clock to 1910. Boston Clock Company Marine Clock - 8 1/2" Dial(SOLD)

Item ID: 1494 - This is a rare, Boston Clock Company Marine Clock. The 8 1/2", silvered and painted dial is signed Boston Clock Company and has the original untouched surface. The movement has serial number A1621 and is marked Boston Clock Company, Boston, Pat. Dec 28, 1880. The case has been polished and lacquered. Chelsea US Lighthouse Service Clock(SOLD)

Item ID: 1815 - Chelsea US Lighthouse Service Clock. A totally original and very late example. The Boston Clock Co. stamped movement has serial number 27800B and the case has serial number 27800. The Chelsea sales ledger shows that the clock was sold to The Superintendent of Lighthouses on July, 1932. A Chelsea Clock Company Certificate of Origin accompanies the clock. This clock is unusual in that it has a nickel plated movement marked Boston Clock Co. which according to Andy Demeter's "Chelsea Clock Company, The First hundred Years" was an affiliate of Chelsea Clock Co. formed on July 14, 1909. The Boston Clock Co. movements and parts were nickel plated as opposed the Chelsea parts which were natural finish or gold plated. The dial, case and hands are all in very fine original condition. Chelsea 8 1/2" Base & Ball Feet Clock with Fine Original Gold Finish(SOLD)

Item ID: 1634 - Chelsea 8 1/2" Base & Ball aka Commodore. Serial number 186997 dates the clock to 1929. The very rare brushed gold finish is original and in superb condition. It is exceedingly difficult to find early Chelsea clocks with original finish in such fine condition. Examples with unusual original finishes like this clock are prized by Chelsea collectors. The engraved, filled and silvered dial has been restored. The ships bell movement has been serviced. The clock keeps excellent time and strikes with fine Chelsea tone. The Chelsea sales ledger show that the clock was originally sold to B. J. Booke & Sons on March 29, 1929. Email me if you have questions.
