Campos Hartwigs Grandmother Clock (Sold)
Item ID: 1246 - This is a superb quality, ca. 1983, Foster Campos/Gerhardt Hartwigs Grandmother Clock. The clock was a collaboration between 2 master craftsman. Foster Campos produced some of the finest reproductions of early American clock cases and Gerhardt Hartwigs was well known for his superb quality clock movements. In my opinion this is the finest grandmother clock ever produced by Foster Campos. The mahogany case is 60" tall. The inlays, fretwork, curly maple accents, choice of grain in the mahogany, brass work and impeccable workmanship combined with a Hartwigs 8 day time and bell strike movement of the finest quality and a brass dial with silvered chapter ring, applied cast brass spandrels and Campos/Hartwigs engraved silvered hemisphere in the arch have produced a clock that is simply unparalleled. Please view the photos for additional information and email me if you have questions.

Early Connecticut Tallcase Clock (Sold)
Item ID: 1472 - This is a ca. 1780 - 1790 Connecticut Tallcase Clock. The cherry case is 87" tall, 18" wide and 10" deep. The case has OG bracket feet, reeded quarter columns on the waist and distinctive contour to the top of the waist door. The bonnet has smooth columns with wood capitols, broken arch with carved rosettes and 3 turned wood finials. The sides of the bonnet have glass panels. The finish is original with fine patina. The hand painted iron dial has beautiful rose spandrels and flowers and a bird in the arch. The dial has the original paint with no restorations and is in beautiful condition. The date wheel has some loss to the numerals and background. The false plate between the movement and dial is stamped Wilson as is the calendar wheel. The movement, with smooth winding drums, and seatboard are original to the case and in good condition. The attachment of the weight cables is unusual. The cables leave the winding drum, go down around the original pulley where the weights hang, then back up but not through the seatboard as one would expect. The cables hook on to 2 simple metal brackets that attach to the sides of the case below the seatboard. Very unusual and completely original. The pendulum and weights are replacements. The clock is in good running order. Email me if you have questions.
