Chelsea 6" Commander - Time Only (Sold)
Item ID: 1515 - Chelsea 6" Dial Commander with time only movement. This example is very unusual having the Chelsea marine movement instead of the more common ships bell movement. Note that the clock case and base are both shallower than the ships bell models. The case and movement are stamped with serial number 126909 dating the clock to 1919. The bottom of the wood base is stamped with serial number 99615 - ca. 1914. Both numbers are listed in the Chelsea records as "marine". The clock is in fine condition and keep excellent time. Chelsea 8 1/2" Base & Ball Clock (Sold)
Item ID: 1548 - Chelsea 8 1/2" Dial Base & Ball Feet Clock. The original, silvered, engraved and filled dial is signed J.E. Caldwell Co. The movement and wood case bottom are stamped with serial number 183269 dating the clock to 1927. The case has been polished and lacquered and the movement has been serviced.
